I just went into the Deep Web: the black market is full of drugs and social security numbers

I just went into the deep web, sometimes called the dark web. It is a scary place. Let me start off by saying you will not find more illegal stuff in one place than the deep web. My heart was beating faster and I swallowed my saliva as the tor browser loaded up. Everything loads slowly and sites navigate at a crawling rate from what i can only imagine is due to underlying CPU usage that uses your computer and browser power to data mine in the background and you unsuspecting browse.

The deep web is basically the unlisted area of the internet, it is not accessible via google or with windows explorer so most people can not get there and then most others don't want to. It really remind you of the internet in the 90s when everything was html and very basic in css style. Pop ups and warnings everywhere like the old wild wild west of early computer browsing. Most of these marketplaces require extremely hard to access areas where you need an account and browser real time authentication to enter. There is no javascript or other injections allowed. Every site goes deeper and deeper until eventually you reach the black market.

The deep web, invisible web, or hidden web are parts of the World Wide Web whose contents are not indexed by standard web search-engines. The opposite term to the deep web is the "surface web", which is accessible to anyone/everyone using the Internet.

Surfing the dark web might not be illegal. But visiting certain sites, or making certain purchases, through the dark web is illegal. If you use the dark web to purchase illegal drugs or firearms, that's illegal.

It is important to note that if you plan on accessing the deep and dark web you should use a VPN and a deep web browser like TOR.

The deep web is broken down into layers like an onion and all web links similar to URLs are essentially peels you navigate on the onion.

Most of the addresses for pages are embedded and protected by several layers including mnemonic passfrases like bitcoin wallets. An example of a deep web address is ushfkdu79378.onion

I immediately stumbled upon large quantities of drugs, fake ids, social security numbers, hacking exploits and money laundering outfits. All transactions done on the deep web involve cryptocurrencies

I suggest you do not access the dark web, it is full of exploits and immediately targets your network and your computer. Please keep in mind proper precautions if you plan to browse the dark web yourself.
